Chronology of cameras Ricoh

This camera was also sold in the north American market as the Shotmaster Dual.  One source says it was launched in September 1988; the date back on this one starts at 1/1/1987.

It has two quite useful focal lengths 35 mm 'wide' and 70 mm 'tele'; the transition between lenses is fast but noisy. It also has the ability to take continuous frames (including two on timer), and for the flash to be turned off. Ricoh also offered a 1.5X conversion lens for this camera increasing the maximum focal length to 105 mm.

The date back is independently powered by a button battery. There was also a non date version. .
